In September 2025, Nomi rolled out major updates across User Management, Final Accounts, Payroll, and Self-Assessment modules. The User Management revamp enhances dashboard usability and role-based permissions, while Final Accounts now support FRC Taxonomy 2025 for compliance. Xero-to-Nomi trial balance imports are more accurate, and Payroll introduces draft payslip previews and a redesigned Agent Dashboard. Self-Assessment updates include a refreshed dashboard, drag-and-drop e-signing, countdown timers, password-protected documents, and AWS S3 integration, improving efficiency, security, and user experience across the platform.

User Management Revamp

The User Management Revamp focuses on enhancing the dashboard and user interface for accountants and business users, ensuring streamlined access, better usability, and accurate role-based permissions. Key improvements include updated filters (by account type, roles, responsibilities, and status), dynamic search, and repositioned headers.

Business and accountant user creation is redesigned into three structured tabs Details, Permissions, and Access with validation for emails, unique usernames, and mandatory roles. Features like view-only mode, restricted client access, and bulk actions are added. The dashboard also shows businesses without assigned users, with pagination and client assignment options. Exported data will now align with the UI format in Excel. All updates retain existing functionality while improving performance.

Final Accounts

FRC Taxonomy 2025

We’re excited to announce the release of the FRC Taxonomy 2025 update, designed to ensure full compliance with Companies House and HMRC requirements. This update incorporates the latest regulatory changes, improving accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial reporting. By adopting FRC Taxonomy 2025, the system streamlines submissions, reduces errors, and helps you efficiently meet statutory obligations.

Mapping Improvement to the Xero-to-Nomi Trial Balance Import

We’re also excited to announce enhancements to the Xero-to-Nomi trial balance import feature. The mapping process has been significantly improved, ensuring smoother and more accurate transfer of financial data from Xero into Nomi. These improvements reduce errors, save time, and give accountants more confidence that trial balances are correctly reflected. This upgrade reinforces our commitment to delivering efficient, reliable, and user-friendly accounting tools.

Payroll

View Draft Payslip

We’ve introduced a new “View Draft Payslip” option on the payroll dashboard. Previously, you had to run payroll to see payslips. Now, you can preview payslips in draft before running payroll, letting you check all pay elements, deductions, and totals early—reducing mistakes and saving time. The draft payslip opens as a single compressed PDF containing all employees’ payslips for the period. After reviewing, you can make corrections before finalising and sending them to employees.

New Payroll Agent Dashboard

We’ve also introduced a more user-friendly Payroll Agent Dashboard to give you a clear overview of your clients’ payroll status. The dashboard shows overdue items, current month, and next month tasks at a glance. If payroll has been run, and pension and RTI submissions completed, it will show as Not Completed.

A separate section highlights payroll Approved, Awaiting Approval, and Query Received, along with pending RTI, Pension, and P11D tasks. This redesigned dashboard makes it faster and easier to track progress and manage payroll obligations.

Self-Assessment

1. SA Agent Dashboard Enhancements

We’ve revamped the SA Agent Dashboard with a fresh design and new features, including visual graphs and interface improvements. These updates help users more easily monitor statuses and perform administrative tasks efficiently.

2. SA E-Sign Drag-and-Drop Functionality

A dedicated E-Sign section has been added for document signing. We’ve implemented a drag-and-drop feature, letting accountants and account managers position signature and date fields on documents easily, offering more flexibility and control for client interactions.

3. Countdown for Validation and Submission (PTR)

A countdown timer has been added to the validation and submission steps within the PTR process. This feature reduces repeated page refreshes, saves time, and improves workflow efficiency.

4. Password Protection for Client Documents

All documents sent via email to clients are now automatically password protected. This adds an extra layer of security, helping safeguard sensitive client data, especially tax returns (TRs).

5. AWS SDK Integration for S3 File Management

We’ve implemented the AWS SDK for improved file management using Amazon S3. This integration allows more secure, scalable, and efficient handling of document storage and retrieval across the platform.
