Nomi Product Updates and New Features August 2025

In August 2025, Nomi introduced significant updates to Bookkeeping, Final Accounts, Payroll, and Self-Assessment to improve efficiency and user experience. Nomi-Zoho integration now keeps data in sync, including unique creation IDs, enhanced dashboards, and better account tracking. Debtors reports were upgraded for usability and multi-currency support. Final Accounts and CT dashboards were enhanced with advanced filters, charts and direct filing to Companies House and HMRC. Payroll now allows individual runs and automatic payslip notifications. Self-Assessment added MTD ITSA Phase 1, countdown timer and streamlined email options.

 

Bookkeeping

Nomiโ€“Zoho Integration

    • Implemented Nomiโ€“Zoho integration for both Agents and Businesses to keep data synced across platforms.
    • For unverified accounts, only a Lead is created in Zoho, preventing premature Contact/Account creation.
    • On duplicate account attempts, a Lead is also created in Zoho, allowing the team to track and follow up.
    • Introduced a unique Creation ID auto-generated for every account to act as a common identifier in both systems.
    • The Creation ID is displayed on edit screens (Agents & Businesses), non-editable, and ensures smooth API syncing.
    • Enhanced the Edit Agent and Edit Company screens to display synced Zoho fields (Name, Email, Rating, Business Type, etc.) as greyed out.
    • Replaced the old Active field with a more descriptive Rating field to track statuses like Active, Junk, On Trial, or Inactive.
    • Dashboards now filter by Rating, showing green ticks for active, red crosses for inactive, and orange ticks for โ€œOn Hold.โ€
    • CRM Active checkbox syncing is controlled from Zoho but automatically updates in Nomi once CRM is enabled.
    • Added new Billing tabs in both Agent and Business screens, pulling read-only pricing details from Zoho.
    • Retained existing tabs (Billing Old, Bundles, Estimated Billing, Payment, Invoices, Others) without changes.
    • Synced client count fields (Bookkeeping, Payroll, Self-Assessment, Bank Feed, and user counts) from Nomi to Zoho.
    • Introduced validation messages and chain icons to highlight unlinked accounts between Nomi and Zoho.

Debtors Report

    • A new Debtors Report V1 was introduced for DNSGroup as a clone of the existing Debtors Report with slight enhancements.
    • It includes fields like Debtor, Ref No, Amount, aging buckets (0โ€“90, 91โ€“120, etc.), and all balances displayed in GBP.
    • Horizontal scrolling was added with frozen columns (Debtor, Ref No, Amount) and frozen headers for better usability.
    • An export function to Excel and PDF was implemented, matching the UI exactly, with formatted headers, auto-sized cells, and clear separation lines.
    • A parallel Detailed Debtors Report V1 was also created, cloning the original detailed report with updated headers and the same scrolling and export features.
    • Both reports ensure multi-currency values are converted to GBP for consistency.

 

Final Accounts

FA Agent Dashboard Revamp

The FA and CT dashboards have undergone a complete revamp, bringing a modern and efficient experience for users. The redesigned interface enhances searchability, navigation, and data segmentation, making it easier to manage client records. With dynamic filters and quick jump options, users can seamlessly access key information.

Advanced tiles now provide structured insights at a glance, while integrated visual tools such as donut charts and bar graphs deliver clear, real-time analysis. Work tracking has also been improved, ensuring better oversight and productivity.

These updates collectively empower users to work smarter, save time, and manage clients with greater accuracy and ease.

FA and CT Work Pool Dashboard

Final Accounts (FA) and Corporation Tax (CT) client lists and filters have been fully revamped to deliver a smoother, more efficient experience. The redesign focuses on improving searchability, data segmentation, and work tracking, ensuring users can quickly locate and manage the information they need.

New filters have been added, while existing ones have been enhanced for greater precision. Additionally, sorting and display logic have been upgraded to provide clearer insights and streamlined workflows.

These improvements give users greater control and visibility over FA and CT data, helping accountants and tax professionals save time and work with confidence.

Allowing Businesses to File Directly to Companies House and HMRC Using Nomi

We are pleased to announce an enhancement to our platform that extends the submission functionality to Companies House and HMRC for business users. With this update, clients can now manage and control their own filing credentials directly from the Client Dashboard.

This eliminates the need for agent involvement in routine submissions, streamlining the filing process and providing greater independence and flexibility. Business users can securely store, update, and use their credentials for required filings, ensuring compliance with ease.

This improvement not only saves time but also strengthens transparency, efficiency, and convenience in managing statutory obligations.

FA Communication Dashboard Revamp

Previously, the three sections Email History, Scheduled Emails, and SMS were displayed in a long vertical format, which made the layout cluttered and less user-friendly. With this revamp, we are introducing a clean, tab-based layout that organises these sections more effectively, improving navigation and accessibility.

Smarter status handling has been implemented for emails and e-signs, ensuring that users can quickly track progress and identify any pending actions. Additionally, the resend flows have been streamlined to reduce complexity, making record management more efficient.

Overall, these enhancements provide a more intuitive, faster, and organised user experience.

 

Payroll

    • Individual Employee Payroll Run โ€“ Earlier, there was no checkbox on the payroll run page. Users had to run payroll for all employees at once. Now, we have added a checkbox option so users can select specific employees and run payroll only for them. This saves time and makes the process more flexible.
    • Automatic Payslip Notifications โ€“ After RTI submission, employees will now receive email notifications as soon as their payslip becomes available on the portal. This ensures better communication and avoids employees missing important updates.

 

Self-Assessment

    1. MTD ITSA โ€“ Phase 1 Now Live
      Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self-Assessment (MTD ITSA) is now live with its first phase, covering UK property and self-employment income. Built in accordance with HMRCโ€™s current guidance, this feature allows users to explore and familiarise themselves with its functionality ahead of the official mandatory rollout.
    2. Countdown for Validation and Submission
      A countdown timer has been added to the validation and submission steps in SA. This helps prevent users from repeatedly refreshing the page, thereby improving efficiency and saving time.
    3. Email Option Streamlining
      To avoid confusion, the email sending option has been removed from two pages and is now available only on the Communication page, creating a more focused and simplified user experience.

These enhancements have been developed in alignment with HMRCโ€™s standards, helping to streamline your workflow and ensure greater accuracy in your submissions.

This August 2025 update has major improvements to Nomi, including bookkeeping, final accounts, payroll and self-assessment.
