Nomi Product Updates and New Features June 2025
In June 2025, we introduced several key updates across the NOMI platform to improve usability, performance, and reporting capabilities. From a refreshed bookkeeping interface with advanced comparison tools to smarter data exports, users can now view more data with greater clarity. Final Accounts now benefit from cloud-native AWS storage and combined PDF reporting for E-sign. Payroll updates include clearer employer contributions and NEST pension approvals directly in Nomi. Self-Assessment also gets smarter with improved audit trails for HMRC submissions. Explore what’s new in this month’s product update below.
Bookkeeping Software
Revamped UI with Expanded Layouts of Trial Balance and Balance Sheet Reports
Reports now utilise the full screen space, offering a clearer and more optimised viewing experience across all resolutions.
- Unified & Smarter Date Filters: Date range and selection filters are now combined for ease of use, with predefined options like “This Financial Year,” “Last Quarter,” and more.
- Powerful Comparison Tools: Easily compare financials across months, quarters, or years using the new “Compare” filter.
- Increased Historical View – Up to 36 Periods: View and compare data across up to 36 periods, up from the previous 11.
- Improved Scroll & Navigation: Both horizontal and vertical scrollers have been added. Menus and headers remain fixed, even while scrolling.
- Enhanced Data Controls Under ‘More’: Advanced options like Show Detail, Show Percentages, and Include Decimals are now grouped under a single dropdown menu.
- Smarter Excel Export Functionality: Exports now mirror the UI with proper formatting, dynamic headings, improved spacing, and better readability.
Final Accounts Software
Implementing AWS SDK Feature to Move Static Files to S3 Bucket
We’ve successfully integrated the AWS SDK to manage and transfer static files via Amazon S3. This shift reduces internal server load by offloading static asset storage and delivery, resulting in enhanced system performance and scalability. Users benefit from faster content delivery and a more reliable experience. Leveraging AWS S3 ensures high availability and resilience, aligning with our commitment to modernising infrastructure.
This upgrade marks a key step toward adopting cloud-native solutions, improving efficiency, and supporting the long-term sustainability of our platform. It’s a strategic enhancement aimed at better performance and future-ready operations.
Functionality to Send Combined Reports in a Single PDF for E-Sign
We’ve implemented a new feature that allows users to send multiple reports combined into a single PDF document for electronic signature. This enhancement streamlines the signing process by reducing the number of individual files sent, ensuring a more efficient and user-friendly experience. It simplifies document handling for both senders and recipients, improves workflow, and supports faster turnaround times.
By consolidating reports into one file, we also help maintain consistency and clarity across all signed documents. The feature is now live and can be accessed directly within the Final Accounts (FA) module for a smoother E-signature experience.
Payroll Software
Add Employer NI and Employer Pension for the Period on Payslips
We have added an option to display Employer National Insurance (NI) and Employer Pension contributions for the current period on employee payslips. Previously, only employee deductions and year-to-date (YTD) values were shown. This enhancement gives employees a clearer view of total contributions for the period.
Approve NEST Pension Payment Through Nomi
Users can now approve and submit NEST pension schedules directly through Nomi. Previously, users were required to log into the NEST portal to complete this task. With this update, it can now be done in Nomi with a single click, improving efficiency and ease of use.
Self-Assessment Software
We have improved the “Submit to HMRC” dashboard by introducing a more intuitive and user-friendly interface to streamline the HMRC submission process.
A key enhancement is the new requirement to enter internal notes when marking a return as “Mark it as Filed” or “Not to Submit.” When you try to mark it this way, a pop-up will appear prompting you to enter an internal note. By clicking “Click here,” you’ll be taken directly to the exact field where the note should be entered.
This ensures a clear audit trail, improves transparency, and offers detailed feedback, giving you greater confidence throughout the submission process.
This June 2025 update brings major improvements to Bookkeeping, Final Accounts, Payroll, and Self-Assessment in Nomi. From enhanced reports and smarter exports to cloud-based storage and easier pension submissions, every feature is designed for better performance.
