Nomi Product Updates for May 2025: Key Features & Improvements

In May 2025, we continued to improve the Nomi platform to make your accounting experience smoother, faster, and more reliable. I hope this email finds you well. Below are the key highlights for the NOMI product this month, including new tools for managing fixed assets, upgraded quote templates, and smarter note handling in Final Accounts.
We’ve also enhanced analytical reporting across all company types and made self-assessment updates more aligned with HMRC guidelines. Explore what’s new and see how these changes can help your practice.
Bookkeeping
Fixed Asset Register
This powerful tool helps organisations efficiently track and manage their fixed assets. It allows accountants to record essential asset details, while Nomi automates depreciation calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This time-saving feature also reduces manual errors.
New Template for Quotes
Nomi has introduced a new template for Quotes, similar to the sales template, allowing users to make changes as needed.
Final Accounts
Bring Forward Notes Templates
A new ‘Bring Forward’ feature has been added to note templates, enabling users to automatically carry over specific notes or sections from previous templates. This enhancement streamlines the creation of new notes by reusing recurring information, saving time and effort.
It maintains consistency across multiple templates by reducing the need to re-enter standard content. With this functionality, users can efficiently manage note-taking tasks, especially when handling repetitive or standardised information.
This feature improves productivity and ensures important details are not missed, making note creation faster and more reliable for frequent template users.
Analytical Reports
Enhancements have been made to improve the visibility and functionality of analytical reports across all company types, including Limited Companies, LLPs, Partnerships, and Sole Traders. These improvements provide users with clearer insights and more efficient access to key business data, regardless of company structure.
The upgraded reporting features ensure consistency, accuracy, and ease of use, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions. By refining report layouts and streamlining navigation, these changes enhance the overall user experience and analytical capabilities. This update reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality tools tailored to the diverse needs of all business types.
Self Assessment
We’ve introduced enhanced dashboard pop-ups during HMRC submissions. This improvement offers more detailed and clearer feedback, ensuring you are fully informed at every step of the process, providing extra confidence when submitting your returns.
Additionally, we’ve improved the captions on the self-employment pages. These updates now align more closely with HMRC’s official forms and terminology, streamlining the user experience and improving accuracy when completing self-assessment.
These changes are part of our ongoing commitment to improving ease of use and accuracy in your tax submissions.
This May 2025 update brings powerful new features to Nomi, including a Fixed Asset Register, improved quote templates, and a ‘Bring Forward’ notes feature for Final Accounts.
